Nature Calls

For those of you that live close enough to have visited, you know that we have a backyard the size of a postage stamp. We are lucky to live by many parks and have the "dad of the year" who spends about an hour a night at those parks with the boys. I told Lance if this baby was another boy, Target or no Target we were moving to the woods. So needless to say we love to camp. We had a great time at our ward campout. Here are the highlights!

- Dallin loved hiking to a stream and throwing rocks in the water.

- Ryder loved climbing the hills and finding "treasure."

- Breckan LOVED making smores. He stood by the fire most of the night roasting marshmellows.

We shared the campsite with a large group of ROTC's. They were great neighbors at night. They went to bed early. Not so great come exercise time at 4:30 am. But we still had a great time.

I promise not to turn this blog into a straight brag book for myself, but I do have to tell you how special Dallin is to me. Since the day Dallin was born, I would get comments from friends with babies Dallin's age; "You don't know how good you have it, he is such a sweet baby," "He is so calm, does he ever cry." Then as they became toddlers, a disapproving look from Lance or I and Dallin would never do that no-no again. He has not changed much in the six years since he was born and his school has quickly noticed he is a good example. His school gives six awards a year in different areas of leadership. In Kindergarten he won the "best citizen" award in his class. This year, Lance and I were already invited to go to another assembly in his honor for a role model of Respect. His teacher said at the assembly, "Dallin demonstrates a respectful attitude in everything he does. He takes care of his belongings, his responsibilities, and is thoughtful to his classmates. He has a caring heart, is honest, polite, and has a GREAT attitude! Awesome Dallin!" We love our Dallin and are very proud of his great example for his brothers!

It's a GIRL!!!!

We are soooo excited to add a girl to our family! I think Dallin wanted the baby to be a girl even more than mom! I have to say, I had mentally prepared myself to see another boy so even though I thought it was probably a girl, I was still a little stunned. What do I do with a girl?! Lance and I are so excited. Let the shopping begin :0)

My First Post!!! Yay!

I'm so excited to be starting a blog of my cute little boys and our little family. We don't have any family near by, so we wanted to keep in touch with all of our family and friends. Since I don't scrap book I wanted a way to document all the fun things my kids do and say. So stay tuned for all the excitment to come.
